Are Children Born in the UK Required to Apply for the Global Talent Dependant Visa?
Overview
Children born in the UK to parents holding a Global Talent Visa may be required to apply for a dependant visa.
This is because children born in the UK are not automatically granted immigration status.
Therefore, the parent(s) of a child born in the UK during their stay must apply for permission for the child to stay if you intend to travel with your child outside the UK. If you want to remain in the UK with your child, you are not required to apply for a visa.
Please note that when applying for a dependant visa for your child born in the UK, you must provide a full UK birth certificate showing the names of both of your child’s parents.
Other Supporting Documents for the Global Talent Dependant Visa

Applicants must also pay the healthcare surcharge as part of their application, usually £1035 per year for each applicant.

How Long Does the Global Talent Dependant Visa Process Take?
Once you submit your application, the Global Talent child and Global Talent partner visa UK processing time takes up to 3 weeks if you’re outside the UK.
If you’re applying for a visa extension or switch from within the UK, it may take about 8 weeks.
You may get a faster decision using the priority service. This service takes up to 30 working days and costs an additional £500.
If you need a decision to be made by the end of the next working day after your appointment, you can use a super-priority service, which costs an additional £1000.
If your appointment was at the weekend or on a bank holiday, you will receive your decision within two working days.
However, even if you use the priority service, the Home Office may need to request more information or check your details with other government departments, which can delay the process. You will be informed if this is the case.

Conditions of Stay for Global Talent Visa Dependent UK
