If you are a non-British citizen planning to move to the UK, you might want to consider applying for dual citizenship. Here are some of the benefits of UK dual citizenship:

1. Staying in Both Countries

You can live in both countries at the same time. This means that if your spouse or children have moved to another country and you wish to retire there, then you can still go back to England for a holiday or even stay there for longer periods of time without losing your rights as an Englishman.

2. Right to Vote

You have the right to vote in elections for both countries. In fact, many people take advantage of this privilege by voting twice during elections; this is legal in most countries with dual citizenship laws.

Note that some countries only allow voting for the Parliamentary elections and not the local elections. Also, if you have lived outside the UK for over 15 years, you won’t be able to vote for neither Parliamentary elections nor local elections.

3. Travel Freely

You can travel freely around the UK without having to worry about visas or passports. As long as you have your British passport with you, there should be no problems when travelling as a dual citizen.

4. Access to Social Benefits 

When you hold dual citizenship, you will be able to access social benefits from both countries. This includes healthcare, unemployment benefits and other government-funded programs.

Dual nationality is when you are a citizen of more than one country, or you have multiple citizenship.

This can be because you were born in one place and then moved to another, or it could be because of your parents’ nationalities.

Dual Citizenship by Birth

If you were born in the UK or a British Overseas Territory, then you have to confirm your eligibility and register for citizenship.

You might also be eligible if you have a parent who is a British citizen, but it depends on where and when you were born, and your parents’ circumstances.

For example, if both of your parents are British citizens or one of them is and the other has indefinite leave to remain in the UK, then you may be eligible for registration as a British citizen.

If you want to apply for a second citizenship through naturalization in another country, they may require that you renounce your original citizenship.

For example, if you’re Indian but want to become American as well, you would need to give up your Indian passport once granted American citizenship.

If you are a UK citizen and want to become a dual citizen, there are certain requirements that must be met. The first step is to determine if you are eligible for dual nationality in the UK, which means that you have both British citizenship and another citizenship from another country.

In order to be eligible, you have to be:

• Age 18 or over
• Have lived in the UK for at least 12 months (unless married to a British citizen or settled person)
• You must have passed the English language requirement and Life in the UK test
• Have not breached UK immigration rules during your qualifying residency period
  In addition to meeting the above requirements, you must also have another citizenship or be entitled to another citizenship.

The application fee is £1330.

This includes the cost of the citizenship test and associated administration fees. In addition to this, you will need to submit your biometrics (fingerprints and photo).

You’ll also need an IELTS Life Skills Test if your application requires proof of language skills. The price for this test varies depending on where and when it is administered; however, it averages around £190.

There are also other costs that you may have to pay such as the citizenship ceremony fee. For example, if your child turns 18 during the application process, you have to pay a £80 fee.

The first step is to make sure that your current citizenship is not in conflict with UK citizenship laws. For example, if you have a foreign citizenship and one of those countries does not allow its citizens to hold multiple citizenships at once, then you will need to renounce the other citizenship before applying for UK dual citizenship.

The next step is to apply for British Nationality. This can be done through the Home Office website or by contacting them directly via phone or email. You will need to provide documents proving your identity and eligibility for citizenship as well as proof of your residency in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland for at least three years (this is for those who have married a British citizen) prior to making your application (unless there are extenuating circumstances).

After applying for British Citizenship, if you meet all requirements then they will issue you a certificate stating that they have accepted your application and are processing it further until they decide whether or not they will grant it.

If they approve your application then they’ll send an official letter stating that you are now officially a citizen of England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

Becoming a British citizen is not as simple as filling out a form and sending it off. There are many steps involved in the process, which can take a few months. The length of time it takes to become a citizen depends on your circumstances and whether you have any criminal convictions or immigration violations on your record.

Once your application has been accepted by the British government, there will be another waiting period before you are called in for an interview with immigration officers. This interview usually takes place at an immigration office near where you live.

If there are no issues with your application, or if they discover something during the interview that requires further investigation, then they will contact you to inform you whether or not they have approved your application. If they approve it then they will send you a certificate of naturalization, which is proof that you’re now officially a British citizen!

There are two main ways that you can lose your British citizenship: by renouncing it or by having it revoked.

Renunciation is the simpler of the two processes, but it also has some major drawbacks. The first problem is that you have to pay a fee of £372 to renounce your British citizenship, and there are no exceptions.

Also, if you have any criminal convictions, then there’s no way for you to renounce your citizenship—you’ll have to wait until those convictions are pardoned or expunged from your record.

If you’re accused of treason against Britain and convicted, then they’ll revoke your citizenship automatically without even asking permission from anyone else—and once your citizenship has been revoked this way, there’s no way for anyone else to give it back again.

If you are a citizen of the United Kingdom, you may be eligible for obtaining dual citizenship. If this is the case, you can maintain your British citizenship while also becoming a citizen of another country. This can be an important decision to make and it’s important that you make it carefully.
